(Some of) My Makeup Regrets

Buying makeup is tricky. Sometimes, you buy products you absolutely love and won’t stop raving about them♥ Some other times, you get swayed so much by positive reviews but when you get ones for yourself, you just dislike them 😦 This is the case of the latter. These are 5 makeup products I regret buying. Shall we? 😉

LA Girl Matte Pigment Gloss

I was very disappointed with this product. A lot of reviews told me that this product is extremely drying but I let myself be influenced by a friend of mine (another makeup enthusiast) who claimed to really love this product because it’s not drying at all. After trying it for myself, I decide that not only it is drying, it’s also very sticky. It feels weird and uncomfortable every time I close my mouth. On the bright side, the color is awesome and highly pigmented. Mine is number GLG839 Obsess.

Maybelline Eyestudio Brow Drama

I bought this out of curiosity and frustration of using the conventional brow pencil. Brow pencil, especially the sharp one, is hard for me 😦 I don’t like this product on so many level. It’s too wet and not too pigmented that I have to apply it many times to get my desired result. The color is just wrong. I always use deep brown for my brow to avoid looking too fierce but this one seems so… bright. I just look weird. Anyway, it’s better to just swipe a little mascara to my brows.

Benefit Posietint

Okay, I might be on the minority here. It’s the problem of my dry lips (again), dry lips and lip tint are never best friend. The color is also too bright for me so I absolutely couldn’t wear it on my lips. Apparently, I couldn’t wear it as cheek stain either. It feels too wet it’s always running down on my face and the color doesn’t suit my face. But the biggest regret of all is that it is expensive, unlike the previous two products. So… really, bummer 😦

Emina Cheeklit Cream Blush

To be frank, I don’t actually regret it since it’s so cheap. But still, it makes the cut 😛 at first I thought I loved it. The packaging is really nice and the price is so affordable. But after giving it some tries, I kind of dislike it. It is hard for me to get the desired result. It’s either too soft or too thick.

Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipstick in Shade THINK PINK

If you’ve been reading my blog, you’ll know how I absolutely LOVE Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipstick. Sadly, I don’t feel the same with this particular shade Think Pink. The swatch seems gorgeous but on my face it looks so pale. It makes my face looks really, really weird and I never would wear that shade ever again 😦

Sooo that’s all (for now) ♥ on my journey of experimenting with makeups, I’m sure gonna encounter more products that I like and unfortunately dislike. I’m currently ordering Real Technique Miracle Complexion Sponge and Wet n Wild Ultimate Brow Kit and I hope they won’t turn out to be another lost for me.
