SO, SO WORTH THE WAIT!!
In case you didn’t know, Shades of Magic is definitely one of my MOST favorite fantasy so naturally, I was really looking forward to this book. And guysss, the wait was so worth it because THIS IS AMAZING! This book is EVERYTHING I wanted and MORE ♥ This is one of those books that is SO GOOD it’s hard to review….. so bear with me while I try to find words? 😛
Plot wise, there’s no doubt this book was splendid. It picked up right where we left off on A Gathering of Shadows when Lila tried to go after Kell to White London. So yeah, we’re getting action since the first chapter and IT WAS INTENSE. I was already on edge from the start and stayed there until 5 chapters before the end. However, it wasn’t… as brutal as I feared it would be. Don’t get me wrong, it was VERY brutal with blood and deaths everywhere but I was kinda expecting something even more brutal. I’m morbid, I know. Continue reading

YAY TO ME for finally reading this book! ♥ I was wary for two reasons : 1) I don’t do well with non-greek myth (I read The Kane Chronicles and didn’t love it) and 2) I heard Magnus was ‘just another Percy’. Though I admit that there’s some similarity between the two, Magnus is still a strong character and The Sword of Summer is a really enjoyable read, especially for a fan of Rick Riordan ♦ Continue reading
In case you haven’t noticed, I might or might not be OBSESSED with A Darker Shade of Magic (spoiler: I AM!) so naturally I started this book with soaring expectations. Did it live up to my expectations? Well… at some point, YES, but also NO. Let’s see… where do I even begin? Continue reading
In case you haven’t noticed, I AM OBSESSED with Six of Crows! It has easily become one of my ultimate favorite fantasy, so naturally I was super excited to read its sequel. I just finished reading Crooked Kingdom less than two hours ago and IT WAS GLORIOUS!! I have tendency to dislike, or at least be disappointed by sequel, but no, Crooked Kingdom was brilliant ♦♦♦ Continue reading
So so so complicated! I was so nervous reading Empire of Storms because of all the hype around it. This book was a difficult read for me because I disliked the main character so much (sorry) but I completely adore the plot! Though it’s hard, I’m gonna try to write a coherent review. Here we go ♥
No spoilers except for some ships and possibly from previous books. Continue reading
Welcome to my first ever double review! ♥ I originally wanted to post my review of I’ll Give You the Sun last week but opted to postpone it until I finished reading The Sky is Everywhere. I tell you, these books are genius! I’m so in love with them! 😛 let me tell you why. Continue reading
OMG SO SO SO SO GOOD! ♥ At this point in my reading career, I’ll gladly read absolutely EVERYTHING Schwab writes! 😛
The Archived is another proof of Victoria Schwab’s cleverness. It’s so genius! Library for the dead? Her creativity knows no bound! This is a really, really sophisticated way to tell a story about ghosts trying to haunt the living world. The keepers’ job is to prevent that from happening and return the dead to where they belong. Our main characters, Mackenzie & Wesley, are both keepers. Continue reading
I had no idea WHY I delayed 10 gazillion months to finally read this book. After (again) hearing so many good reviews about it, the latest being Fadwa’s review, I was utterly convinced that I had to read this book. IT WAS BRILLIANT. A Darker Shade of Magic is easily one of the most awesome and epic thing I’ve ever read. I am completely and thoroughly in love with this book. It’s EVERYTHING and I couldn’t wait to write a review full of praises!
Let me tell you why 😉 Continue reading
Throne of Glass is quite a controversial series for me. I kept changing my mind between liking and disliking and feeling indifferent. Queen of Shadows has been deemed as the best book in the series by many reviewers and if you can’t tell, I’m easily swayed by good reviews. Especially from the reviewers I look up to. So naturally, I started this book with some SERIOUSLY HIGH EXPECTATIONS. That’s why I’m gonna change my review format from the usual so we can see if the reality lived up to my expectations ♦
P.S. NO SPOILERS. Continue reading
Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.
What Lou doesn’t know is she’s about to lose her job or that knowing what’s coming is what keeps her sane.
Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he’s going to put a stop to that.
What Will doesn’t know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they’re going to change the other for all time. Continue reading
